Think, Say, Believe
Casting spells or saying affirmations; whichever term you use is irrelevant because the meaning doesn't change. Affirmations are when you say statements repeatedly to tell your mind what to think, believe and attract.
For example, an affirmation I say to myself is 'I allow myself to move out of my comfort zone in order to grow.' Saying this repeatedly programs my mind to be susceptible to this thought process. But it's not that simple. Something else I make sure to do to focus on really affirming this sentence is that when I am given the opportunity to actually complete the action, I say the affirmation right in the moment. It's as if I'm telling my brain: "Look, see, that's true! We do move out of our comfort zone in order to grow!"
So for example, if I have the opportunity to take on a new project but I'm nervous, I'll tell myself in that moment: "I allow myself to move out of my comfort zone in order to grow" and then take on the project. This literally affirms for my brain that this is our new way of thinking.
This is necessary because we have old habits and old ways of thinking programmed in our neurological pathways. That's why even though you may want to do something, you still don't. It's because your mind and body are so used to the old way. The way these neurological pathways are built is that every time we think or say something and then affirm that with an action it solidifies for our mind that this is the way to behave. So we have to go and unlearn those things, and we do this the same way: by thinking and saying something and then affirming it with our actions and feelings.
Affirmations can be anything. It can be physical like, "I wake up at 8:00 am or earlier everyday" to something more mental like, "money comes to me easily and frequently," to more spiritual like, "I move through my days lighthearted and carefree, knowing all is well." It can also be a future proclamation like, "I have a beautiful home that is tastefully furnished with everything I require to live a successful, aesthetically pleasing life." They can literally be anything that you want to affirm in your life.
With every affirmation the process is the same: say them at least twice a day, when you first wake up and when you fall asleep. Also say them any time you complete the action: if you wake up and it's 8:00 am or earlier, say the affirmation. If you receive money often or seemingly out of nowhere or without doing anything "hard," say the affirmation. This helps you and your mind see and believe the affirmation is true.
An added step to affirmations is the visualization part. In your meditation or as you fall asleep at night visualize yourself completing the affirmation. Make sure to provoke the same feeling as if it was already completed. So if your affirmation is about having the home, then visualize yourself in that home that has everything you require to live a successful, aesthetically pleasing life. What rooms are there, what's the color scheme, what do you do in different parts of your house. Visualize it all and be sure to include the feeling. Not just what it looks like but how does it feel to have that affirmation be true.
The last added step is to write them down. Thinking them, saying them, visualizing them, and writing them down is the perfect recipe to cast that spell, or make the affirmation come to life. Remember, don't focus too hard on the how or when, detach from those questions and just focus on your part, the universe will take care of the rest.
